Michael Sladek currently serves as New York Consultant for SAGIndie, the Screen Actors Guild's outreach project aimed at encouraging low budget filmmakers to use union actors. He has served in this function since Fall of 2006.

Clinton Global Initiative University is a new version of the Clinton Global Initiative (see below), wherein President Clinton invites students to join in with NGO's and non-profits to help solve the world's problems. The inaugural meeting was held in March 2008 at Tulane University along with an event launching Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation's program aimed at rebuilding the hurricaine-devastated Lower 9th Ward.

In 2005 & 2006 Sladek served as Filmmaker Coordinator for the NY NY, Midnight, and Restored sections of the Tribeca Film Festival. This entailed coming on board the festival approximately four months in advance and handling around thirty films each year, coordinating every inch of the film and filmmakers' interaction with the festival.
